About This Project

The Children and Youth Climate Resilience Project is implemented by Keepers Zambia Foundation with support from Save the Children and funding from the Embassy of Ireland. The project focuses on improving education and awareness on climate change among children and youth, enabling them to understand, respond to, and adapt to the effects of climate change. By building knowledge and practical skills, the project empowers young people to take an active role in addressing environmental challenges within their schools and communities.

Key Activities

Climate Education and Awareness

The project promotes climate education in schools and communities to improve understanding of climate change and its impacts.

Learners and youth are equipped with knowledge and practical skills to respond to environmental challenges and adopt sustainable practices.

Capacity Building for Agents of Change

The project builds the capacity of learners and youth to act as agents of change within their schools and communities.

A total of 12 schools and 5 communities are actively engaged, where participants lead awareness activities and promote positive environmental practices.

Community Engagement

The project extends into communities to ensure that knowledge and practices are shared beyond schools.

This approach strengthens collective action and supports wider adoption of climate-resilient practices.
